not 10 minutes after i sat down a doe started feeding through.i heard a grunt, turned my headand watched as a little 6 point came nose down right behind her grunting the whole way. after he got behind me he stopped and did a grunt-snort-wheeze. it made my hair stand up on the back of my neck. all of a sudden i heard a deep grunt and saw this buck coming right at the littler one. the 8 point had his ears back and he was all puffed up. they were going to fight but the little buck ran right off. behind the 8 was 3 does. the does walked in to about 15 yards and the buck was at 60 yards. i grunt-snort-wheezed at him and he walked in to about 45. just then a doe caught some movement and bolted. the other 2 does followed with the buck not far behind. i ranged him at 42 yards and i stopped him, drew back, but he sat behind a large tree for a few minutes. i let down and he started walking and i stopped him again, drew back, set the pin on him, and pulled the trigger. he did not go 40 yards after i shot him. it was definatley the best day in the woods i have ever had

Great buck but man that thing is one ugly sucka. -or- you might prefer to call him fearsome looking. I'd still take him over my first or anyday for that matter. You did good! Oh, also looks like he might be passed his prime and could've been even bigger in his younger days?

Looks like you smoked him. He has a big body, and is an awesome first buck. Congrats.
