What a great day!

First, its cold out in Tx FINALLY! I'm eating deer chili as I type this, and I spent all day hunting. I never got a shot off but so what. I got to watch the food chain at work. I saw a bobcat take out a gray squirrel. It was amazing! That thing moved so fast I almost couldn't believe it. By the time I got my act together it was too late to try to get a shot off. I've been wanting a bobcat hide for a while now. Oh well, maybe next time.
About an hour after the bobcat incident I had two does and a button buck come in. They wandered under my stand eating acorns for about 10 minutes. They were lucky that I don't have a MLD permit to shoot antlerless deer or I'd have dropped one. I did practice drawing without getting busted. I got away with it twice. It was a cool, clear, beautiful day in the woods. God is good to me.

Sounds like a great day buddy!!!!

I too enjoyed the afternoon in the woods. I didn't see much, but I did manage to freeze my 2 left lugnuts off....[8D]

Even whenI sit all day without seeing deer theres not much I`d rather be doing. If youre not in the woods you wont see the deer when they do come by.
