im getting this for x mas, my bow handel is frozen, and i dont ware gloves when im about to shoot so this item looks like a great idea, its also supposed to absorb shock.
anyone ever try it?

Yeah, I tried one out at the store and it was to bulky for me to be comfortable with it!

My wife has one on her bow. She doesn't like the factory handle on the Alpine Impact X-treme so I got her one of these and she is pretty happy with it.

Yeah same for me, I couldnt' get used to the grip. I like mine to have as little bearing surface as possible on my palm. It very well may work for you though.

Here's a tip;

Save your money.

Wrap your grip with electrical tape.

It may not have the shock absorbing ability as that item does, but it will insulate from the cold.

Seems to me that with that on your grip it would be difficult to consistently grip it the same time and again.
