HuntingNet.com Forums - I saw my biggest buck yet

Last evening, I saw the biggest buck I personally have ever seen in the wild. I saw 2 doe come in really nervously. They finally got antsy and ran off. I thought, uh oh, what's going on. Then I saw what was making them so nervous. This big boy came in chasing them. He had at least 8 points that I could count, and the rack stuck out at least 3-4" past his ears. That puts him at about 20-22" spread, right? Anyhow, that may not be a thrill to you midwesterners, but to this newbie west TN'er, that was a thrill. I knew I should have set up where I saw him because that was where I had seen the big tracks before. I was set up over 3 criss-crossing trails because it was closer to the truck and I was running a little late and didn't want to spook anything in the area. I'm elated and planning on going back this evening.
