Here in south dakota tha season runs for this year from sept.23 to Jan 31. After dec. 31 all the tags turn into antlerless. I've already got my buck so it doesn't bother me this year.

Not long enough. We only get 6 weeks which includes NOT being able to hunt sundays. Then a 2-2.5 weeks late season after Xmas.

I bet you're allowed more than one deer a year too, aren't you?
Yep, right off the bat with the bow license we get 2 deer; 1 buck 1 doe or 2 does no buck. Toboot, this yearaccording to the DNRthere is all of a sudden an overpopulation in 70 percent of the state so we get a free additional anterless tag withthe license good for that 70 percent of the state. Then we can even can get unlimited additional tags for 2 bucks a pop for that same 70 percent. There's more... in designated CWD zones, which occupy a good 20 percent of the state, the tags are unlimited and FREE. Drooling yet?
