Hunting Pressure?

I was just wondering if the hunting pressure from Gun season is from the noise of the guns or the fact that there are more hunters in the woods combined with the style of hunting. By style I mean, Deer drives, pushing deer off their beds, a lot of stalking.

The reason I ask is; the last time I was out bow hunting, there were gunshots through out the day (Nov. 16 & 17…in. NYS Southern zone). It did seen to affect the deer at all I saw 14 over the 2 days (8 were bucks)…They did not even pick their heads up from feeding most of the time. Is the piece of land I hunt large enough to not have the deer patterns change in gun season? (350 acres) The Majority of the Gun Hunting on the Property is on Opening Day from stands. No drives at all.
