I remember thinking the same thing when Mathews introduced the MQ-1... After shooting it a few times, I left the store with one. :)It still took me a long time to get used to that oversized idler wheel; I stared at it for a long time as I would sit in my treestand. But people STILL say it was probably the best bow Mathews ever made (look at what most Mathews fanshave to say every year after it introducesnext year's models: "We just want anew bow with MQ-1specs!" :))-- and look what it did for ushering in change in the industry.

I have a feeling people will entertain similar thoughts with the Center Pivot design -- and have the same thoughts later that I did with that MQ-1 later on: Who cares what it looks like? What a shooter!

I will tell you I wasn't exactly jumping up and down for joy when I got my first peak at it; then, I saw it pictured at full draw -- and all the inherent advantages became readily apparent! You've also got to keep in mind that the Guardian brings to the table the most efficient system EVER on any bow...

I for one am willing to look past first impressions... ;)

I thought that I had seen somewhere online that the new Commander and Guardian were around $750 online for a bare bow. I could be wrong though. Maybe once Greg shoots his, we can get a nice write-up. [:-]

I'm between the Guardian, Tribute and the Allegiance for my new bow. Decisions, decisions.
