I was researching my name through Yahoo and came across an article where I was called "disgusting and selfish for using a bow" and condemned for letting an animal wonder in pain for 6 hours. He quoted from my Recovery Thread. My quote and slander is just over half way down the page. What a clown and obvious slanted anti/animal whacko. Have at it. The slam was by a replier name higherthinking towards the bottom of the page.

There is no privacy on the internet. Google and yahoo search engines are constantly recording the data we write. I wouldn't worry about it Rob. It takes a hunter to understand one and we will never change that.

I agree with MOTOWNHONKEY. Anything a person writes on the internet can be taken and used in their own way or agenda. I read through the article and that person that responded is ignorant to anything related to hunting. He doesn't understand that pushing that animal would have resulted in far less ethical results than waiting the appropriate amount of time. Also, it is far worse to have them run over and hit with cars only to suffer much more than an arrow or bullet. I bet it's not the first time either. I can understand your anger, I was angered at such a pathetic attempt at slander but like Motownhonkey said, it takes a hunter to know what a hunter thinks.

Rob, I read the article word for word.
That guy is a jagoff and no amount of arguing will ever penetrate his narrow mind.

As an ethical outdoors enthusiast, I understand the benefit of your post, as I did when you posted it originally. This guy is obviously ignorant of the entire process and will never realize that the buck in question died quickly and without struggle. Nor will he ever be able to understand or even entertain the thought that your post was a very positive and educational post that could very well have saved countless numbers of future animals from real suffering by being pushed too early.

As angry as you must be, I really don't see any recourse. Commenting on this guys blog will likely only feed his ego and he will NEVER be able to understand, nor will he EVER care to try. I had started a long winded reply to him but honestly I really feel it is beneath me. His opinion isn't worth the time it would take for me to register with the site.

A Google search on Rob Poorman resulted in 99 hits and a Google search on Rob/PA Bowyer resulted in 3,250 hits. I challenge anyone to find just one disgusting and selfish comment on any of these 3350 web pages.
To me, the name Rob Poorman can literally be defined as: an Ethical Moral Honest and Dedicated Outdoorsman/Teacher

And I thought the other guys's response was the best response to an anti that I've ever read!

Rob let me tell you one thing. I have learned more from you about archery than my own dad taught me. I know it sucks when somebody says something bad about you, but be rest assured there are alot more people out there saying, "Hey Rob thanks for your help."
Dont let it phase you even though its hard. You keep doing what you are doing. Teaching other to be eithical in their hunting.

I was confused when I first read the post but after re-reading it a couple of times I see that the blog creator, Jim Beers, is the one who answered the anti's question so well.
Then it was another blogger, Higherthinking, that pulled out Rob's quote.
That blogger, Higherthinking, has ZERO blogs of his own on that site.

So, it looks to me Rob like you could easily explain your position yourself on this blog and/or request that Jim Beers pull the other jag's comments.

Perhaps, this is now worth my time to register.

Rob, I know that has to get under your skin, just as it would any of us. But I'm positive your family and friends and those on this board that have read your abundant and excellent contributions to this site are well aware of your entigrity and ethics. Oh davidmil, surely a man of your superior intelect and experience clearly can see there is no point. I came to my friends for advice and thoughts, I respect them thusly I don't see why you even read the thread to begin with?

Everyone else, thank you so much for your words. It's no secret davidmil has no respect for me because he's the antimod but I could care less, because of his continued responses toward me, I've lost all respect for him, but the rest of you, your way too kind. I'm overwhelmed and humbled. I'll blow it off but man you guys come to the cause, incredible replies over there. I'm honored.

At the end of the day, only you can know what is in your heart with regard to the way you hunt and why. If you are good with that, which I presume you are, then all is good. Hunting is our God-given right. Enjoy it because you can.

My response was NOT TO YOU. You've really got to watch that reading between the lines. I was responding to Mobow, not you. If you want to take it personnally, well get a grip. Maybe the next time you should think about what you're writing, who you're writing it to and for what purpose before you do it. If you go on an anti site, post pro hunting thoughts, you're nothing but ammunition for them. You won't change their mind. That's a given. Sometimes people like to hear themselves talk I know. Rob one of the people that responded to that crap believe that animals deserve more rights than humans do. There is no arguing with that kind of twisted thinking. Ignore the personal attacks of the antis but do not ignore thier movement. You are a bigger person than any of them and I believe with every fiber of my being that you care more for animals than any of them could begin to. Keep doing what you do. Your recoverythread was formost in my mind as I tracked the doe I killed earlier this year and i believe it made the recovery possible not just easier. Hold your head up, you have good reason to.

I don't think Rob went to any cite to give anyone ammo. The blogger posted that he found Rob's post while perusing HNI. I certainly hope we can all simmer down a bit here. There's a bigger picture guys.

Nah Rick it won't, it's pointless to go any further. Thanks to everyone, most of you get it, I appreciate it. And besides, I had a great day in the woods, saw a monster my landowner almost got a shot on, I put him in the right place so it eases the mind a little.

Oh and for the inquiring minds, I was searching for a specific article I wrote that wasn't bookmarked when I ran across that blog with my name in it, that's all and oh, yes I found the specific article right mobow? :D
