RE: Who Hunts Iowa?
Been in N.E. Iowa since 1997 right on Ill/Iowa border & an hour from Ws. Born & Raised in N.W. Ill (1/2 hr. from where I live now) & still 1 hr. from Ws.
I've had it all, "ALL" my life. I've taken little Bucks, medium Bucks & Big Bucks with Does thrown in along the way. I just try for the Big Bucks on my ONE & only Buck tag but have started taking Does on the bonus antlerless tags. I have never gun hunted. Now since they (Big Bucks) are all over the place, why have I eaten my Buck tag the last 3 years????? I probably get at least 30-40 days on stand a year. Oh, I killed my 1st Deer, a Doein Oct. 1958 with a stick bow & wood arrow & my 2nd year of Bowhunting. Hope your Bowhunting is as great & long as mine has been. Nov. 2006 Doe-me & wife-25 yd shot, 10 yard bloodtrail. Went to a needy family. ![]() |
