I hear of about one of these a year but this one was 13 points and 200 pounds.

You're kidding right? OMG I've never heard of that before! I wonder if it was a, what do you call it? Unisex deer? Like when people are born with both sexes. Huummm. Very interesting.

Actually, does with antlers happens frequently for whatever reason. North American Whitetail magazine put out a Weird Whitetails special magazine last year that had a few antlered does, and if I am not mistaken, one was B&C eligible.

That is the reason most states use the terms antlered and antlerless in their regulations.

I have read about such things before.....quite odd.

I have heard about this before. But I never thought they would grow racks that large being a doe? Thanks or sharing. :)

That would make a cool full body mount,with a certificate from DNR stating it really is a doe

this year a guy at my church shot a big 5 by 5 mulie doe.. i guese mulie doe with antlers are way less common then whittail..

small but deadly

Bobcat, in Georgia you would tag it as an antlered deer, since the state calls them either antlered or antlerless not bucks and does.

Yes it happens due to hormone imbalance. Most never come out of velvet due to the lack of testosterone. Weird!

In Va. it says Antlered bucks must have antlers above the hairline.

Antlerless deer are not defined as does, but simply antlerless.

I do find it odd that they call deer with antlers bucks and not antlered.

The deer has to be tagged with a 'any deer' or 'buck' tag.

In Minnesota a 'legal buck' is one with 3 inches of visibile antler on ONE side - I didn't measure but I'm pretty sure a bunch of those 13 points are more than 3 inches<img src=icon_smile_approve.gif border=0 align=middle>

As for a buck mounting her being gay - well - I'm not sure about that... And you think we're confused - what about the poor 5 year old 175 incher that now can't trust his nose - or eyes??? I see whitetail psych's popping up everywhere to counsel the deer with *issues*...

It happened in Washington this year, A guy shot a big mulie buck, when he went to gut it he saw that it didn't have the whole package.

Ive heard of it one other time before. My grandfather used to be a town cop and he had to go arrest a man who shot a doe with antlers. This was back in the 60's and the shot what he thought was a buck. It turned out to be a 4 point doe. The DNR wanted to fine him and give him jail time. He got out of it, it definetly would blow your mind to kill one like that.
