Do you hunt with a buddy or with out?

I hunt with a friend, but it do's kinda get tiring. When where out scouting togather we both want to hunt the same spots. Its like we both think the same way, but hunting with a friend do's seem better. No more dragging deer out by your self and they always come in help when trailing a deer to. I just feel i might have better luck hunting by my self because i could hunt all the good places that we found togater besides sharing them. It sounds greety but true right? Anyone feel the same?

I hunt about 1/2 the time myself and the other 1/2 with one or two buddies. I also work really hard to secure land that only I have permission to hunt, so I don't have the problem you're stating. It is nice hunting by yorself, you can try new strategies. Then again, it is nice meeting the guys back at the truck and hearing the stories. Thats a lot of fun!

Good Luck!

Its nice to hunt with another person that shares the same values about hunting as you do. There is annoying parts about it too. Like the one spot on a 60 acre plot we hunt that seems to always have a buck within 70 yds. Well we found the spot and I can't get him out of it. Next year I am hunting an area alone just for me! I have to get out one of these weekends and start talking to landowners. I will still hunt with the family though. Like the previous post and a little from me it nice to hear the stories after the hunt and the more eyes in the woods the better. You really know better were the deer are moving. I think that is the number one pro.

mostly alone, or partially alone. Its not as much fun but your right..the hunting is usually better on the producing end. My problem is finding a partner who I dont have to put a choke collar on and then be able to expect them to possibly save my life as it can very easily happen on even the simplest of hunts up here! I'd rather die by my own hands then at some knuckle heads <img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>!

Only with my brother or father.

80% of the time with a friend. We set up spots and then my buddy hunts them while I continue to scout. I guess I'm always searching for that &quot;BETTER&quot; spot. He's not as big on scouting, just sitting. So far I still have the bigger bucks, I may have let a good spot go this year though, he's seen a 140 class 10 point. But if I ask I'm sure he would let me sit the spot. Besides there's no guarantee's.

I am deffinetly a loner when it comes to bowhunting. I just feel that my chances will decrease if I hunt with someone else. And I like to leave as little scent as possible during my scouting and hunting trips. I do alot of hard scouting and put alot of work into finding good spots. Some people you just cant trust with your great hunting spots. Take your buddy there one day and he will take his buddy there another. Just doesnt work out. I am a loner on this one.

I hunt alone also. There's just too many variables to consider with one hunter, much less two. But I think my wife is going to start bowhunting next year so then I'll be hunting with her. I'll probably be carrying the video camera. As far as your friend always in the 'best' spots, scout out some spots and keep them to yourself. It's kinda like fishing. I don't even take my wife to my best fishing holes! LOL

75% of the time I hunt with relatives, but prefer to hunt alone. Alone is when I have more success too.
