1st Bow deer
 

Here is the buck i took on October 14th. I have him on video in velvet during archery elk season and i thought he was much larger but still a pretty nice deer. He is a main frame 5 point with a split g2 kickin out.He stood in the exact same spot that evening as he did back in august when i was forced to let off due to low light through my peep.I had gone after him a few times after elk season but no luck. That evening the deer moved really well and 4 good bucks came in b4 him so i had a good feeling he would show up towards dark and he did. Hunted elk a few years with the bow but this was my first year at deer and I had alot of fun.

great first bow kill. im still lookin for a doe for my first bow kill. i only dream about deer like that walkin by in bow range.

Woo Hoo one for Team Tall Tines. Great buck again Hiawatha. You do know that that is going to be hard to top that deer. But I bet it is onlythe start for you. Look out next year.

I sure wish my first buck with a bow looked like that! Or any of my bow kills for that matter! :D

LOL... Yea, I'd say he's a "nice deer". Looks to be in the low-mid 160's gross??

What are you doing shooting one of those baby Saskatchewan bucks..should have let him grow! LOL jk..bud great first bow buck! Good luck on the big booner your after right now..I hope you get him too. Again nice start to your archery whitetail kills.
