Grunting one in , How Fast , Normaly
Well I had a chance to hunt this AM for a few hrs8:30 to 11 ish .
Got in the tree stand , got set ( Or thought I was ) Being as late as it was I blew my grunt call to see if I could get the monster I have been seeing to come in quickly . Looked to the left for a few seconds , looked ahead and there stood a 18" - 20" 8 point looking for a fight or does He was snorting and pawing the scrape and moving around to fast for a shot . Then a doe came thru and he took off after her . Total time from blowing the grunt call to him leaving 30 - 45 seconds . Just 5 min after I had climbed the ladder No idea where he came from . I have grunted several in this fall but never that quick . LOL I will try again in the AM Johnch |

that happened to me out in the stand last friday morning...I got up let out a couple grunts...sat for a little while. Heard a faint grunt so I let out a few more and a 6 point popped out looking for a fight...kinda funny cause he was such a small deer.

Seen them come stright into it, seen them take hour and a half to move a couple hundred yards to get down wend. Thats why its so important not to over use the calls, one bad toot on that call on a Buck thats all ready looking for ya, and alls youve done is educate him!!
