These guys are making great points....I would question your sight also. A red dot sounds like would be hard to hold steady on a target...I would use these tips that the guys are saying but I would also try a fixed single pin sight and see how that works. Good Luck

Ok, this might seem a little weird but I had the same problem and it worked for me. Tape a small piece of paper on the inside of one of your limbs and write something on it to slow you down. Could be something as simple as RELAX, or SLOW...it helped me to the point I dont need it anymore. Also dont forget to aim at the bottom of the deer....missed many cause I failed to compensate for them jumping the string.

I use the red dot, cause My right eye (I shoot rt handed) can not focus good close up, My pin(s) where always a blur, and would dissapear when looking thru a peep, same with iron sites on My slug gun.

For some reason a red dot scopes "red dot" is sharp in My right eye, some thing to do with the optics. I am not using a red dot to "cheat" or make it easier, it is the only point/pin/post/bead that My rt eye can see clearly.

Love the sticky note idea, I am going to use that!

RE: Rushing the shot !!!

I shoot my bow similiar to that of a rifle. When you get drawn back, take in a deep breath and then slowly let it out. When you hit the bottom of your breath, take your shot, this when your body is the most relaxed and you will have less movement. This will also slow your shot down a little and make you take your time. That is law enforcement and the military teach snipers to shoot. Good luck!
