we were actually headed back to my buddie's stand to track a deer he shot the night before.

as we were very carefully working our way down the ditch I saw this boy standing in the creek. He walked up the side and up a ridge. As he went out of sight a doe busted off to our left.

We slipped up another 40 yds really quickly.

This bad boy came back after he saw her bust out.

As soon as he got down the creek I came to full draw.

My buddy was right beside me with the rangefinder. He was at 75 walking perpendicular to us. I grunted and he turned and started walking straight at us. (we're in the wide open mind you, camo head to toe)

He gets to 62 yards and turns. My buddies rangefinder dies.

I had a 50 yd pin. I held at the base of his neck and head (as he was quarter to.) I was totally confident in the shot.

I let it fly. I slipped it right inbetween the neck and front shoulder at a good angle to get both lungs.

Smoked him double lungs. Dead within 58 yds.

nah he's my fourth. my last was a wyoming buck. Then I had a Indiana 120. My first was a small basket 8 from a little farm near my house.

He's my first buck with a bow in 5 years though. The other Indiana 120 was a bow buck.

I can definitley say Fred Bear helped guide that shot. I said the prayer for I let 'er go. He pulled through for me.
