Date for HuntingNet get together...
 

Expanding on Dan's thread, and per Justin's request of getting a date set, let's start narrowing down when to do this shindig!! I'm assuming during nice weather, not cold or hot, and it sure can't be during bow season!! :D[&:]

If that's the case, it narrows it down some. What sounds good to ya'll?

Justin, or some mod, maybe pin this to the top. What do you think?

That's my vote as well. Not too hot, and turkey season is over. Bass fishing is picking up, but I'll forgo a weekend of that....

I voted June also, but I would be fine with July or even august too. Our spring gobbler season ends at the end of may here in PA. Lets stay on this guys, I really think this would be a ton of fun.

Only thing I'll be missing in June is work and Walleye fishing.

I suppose I can give up a weekend of fishing for you folks.

Pretty much we have been friends since preschool. Then I got him hunting a few years ago, and now hes additced. We pulled off our first double last year turkey hunting so we cant miss that again this year.

June or July.

Just don't plan it during the Nascar weekend here in Chicagoland.

Usually sometime around the 1st or 2nd weekend in July.

Wife and I are bouth Fly Fishing Guides on the AuSable riverhere in Mich, June is Brown Drake,and Hex Time, Same as Rut for deer hunting! By the early poll looks like its gonna be june, So maybe next year.

The 4th of July would work for alot of poeple that dont get much vacation. I have a 600+ mile drive. Heck of a honk for a overniter!

June or july. I voted June. Like the others said, gotta wait til turkey season is over, plus I fish a lot in the spring. I LOVE those trouts, silvers, walleyes and crappies! YUM!!

Man, I wish we could get a time EVERYBODY could make it...but like the old saying goes.....

June sounds great for me. My wife even thinks it is a good idea, go figure. I think she just wants to get rid of me for a weekend.

It looks to me like June is going to be the date of choice. I would suggest making a new poll on which Saturday in June it should be - the 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd, or 30th.

Again, it's up to you guys. We're game for anything.

Any date is fine with me but I thought this get together thing was gonna be more of a weekend thing instead of just one day.
Alot of us will be from out of state and would stay for a couple of days , I myself was planing on camping out some where close if not on your grounds if permited.
You should also let us know where this place is and how to get there , I look it up and got directions thru map quest .
It's only 318 miles from where I'll be coming from and I can make the road trip in about 5 1/2 hours 4 if I'm feeling lucky and going non - stop but if there's a casino near by , I might be a little late.

It can certainly be a two day event, but the "main" day will be on a Saturday for those who want to pack up and go home early Sunday morning.

I'll be there sometime Friday afternoon or evening to set up camp and pitch my tent.
