Brain fart...
Does anyone know where a guy could get an aerial of land when the leaves are off? All aerials I've seen are taken during the summer.

I have been using something lately called Live Search from Microsoft.
http://local.live.com/ I was able to great perfect aerials of my hunting land in NY. I can see the windows on my cabin which gives you an idea of the quality of the photos. When searching for a property, I put in the address at the top then switch to Bird's Eye view. From there you can change views using the compass. This tool is hit or miss. I have found perfect photos for some areas and horrible ones for others. One of my buddies took screencaptures from this tool and pieced them together in an image editing tool. From there he plotted the compiled photo on plotter paper. It's nice to have the detailed aerial when talking about where everyone is going to hunt or where we saw deer or whatnot. We also use this tool for viewing what adjoining properties look like. This helps if you are thinking of asking for permission to hunt. I like to look at their property to see what they have before I knock on their door. Good luck. |

I can't find any recent ones of mine. They all show the top of the hill is woods. There are two houses and two hay fields up there. One of the houses has been there for ten years.
