How come?

How come? I have sent my pics of my harvests this fall to Hoyt archery and no reply and no photo of the week on their website. I pulled a double with a deer and a turkey minutes apartfrom the same stand ; come on. I have hunted all of my life and never pulled that off and I don't know anybody else who has either. My wife sendsHoyt her bear pic and she is instantly photo of the week. She sends them her deer harvest pic from monday and they get back to her INSTANTLY and ask her if they can put her in their 2008 Hoytproduct catalog with their new bow lineups!!! How come everybody loves Tiffany but no one cares about Lee? They were at the IA Deer Classic this year and everybody is around Tiffany while Lee just stands there by himself. It is not fair; the guy is an awesome hunter.
We are the ones that hang the stands, do the scouting, know proper stand placement, how to hunt the wind, and how to rattle and call. They just look pretty and shoot them and the crowd roars. LOL!!! I am just joking of course and happy for women bowhunters as we need more of them. Maybe they get noticed because there are few of them. Not venting unhappily by any means;just an observation.
Edit: I know why. I just wanted to let you know Sarah is going to be in Hoyts 2008 product catalog.

It's simple. She's better looking than you HCH!;););) That's why she gets the attention.

Hmmm, let me think about it...... :Dwho would you rather look at? Your wife or you? Tiffany or Lee? Men prefer to look at women (for obvious reasons)and women prefer to see other women hunters (especially if they aren't just models)because they feel women are so under represented. So women get moved to the head of the line by companies. If your picture is a good one and of good quality I'm sure you'll get your moment of fame.

PS. I'm sure all this is obvious to you and your post was tongue-in-cheek, as was mine.

PSS. I looked at your pictures and have a couple helpful critisicms. For Sarah's pic she is backlit by the sun in all the pictures and her hat bill throws a shadow over her face. Have her facing into the sun or quartering to. Use the fill flash (or flash always on) feature of your camera to make the colors brighter and eliminate shadows on faces. Same for your photo. Also on the double the two animals could have been presented better. A shot of a gaping chest cavity isn't likely to get in a catalogue. A deer in the "bedded" position, with legs tucked under,is usually a more appealing shot and the turkey could have been displayed to better advantage than just stacked on the deer. Your picture is nice but it's those extra things that make it stand out from the others. Check out my double for an idea of what I'm talking about.

Although I'm sure my pic could use some technical adjustment I think the composition is good.

hey just messin with you,its just like martin bows, they get the hot models and it increases there sales, and guystrying to introduce there wifes to hunting can say hey, look she hunts, why won`t you??i think women in archery sell more stuff to both men and women than a man could...jmo.

You are right there trophy hunter. I don't know if it is true or not, butI have readthat the Martin girl is the owners' daughter and she can't even shoot a bow. If my wife had to hang her own stand ....hell would freeze over. She claims that next year she wants to get more independent and actually pick her stand location, hang it, etc. We'll see.:eek:

RE: How come?

does she use a climber?? my wife would rather use here api than ANY loc on or ladder.

RE: How come?

Around here, you spend more time looking for a tree that a climber can be used in instead of hunting where you want to. I had a Summit Viper and I found myself compromising where I actually wanted to hunt for a tree that the climber would actually work in. She really likes the Double Bull blinds that we have, but I am a firm believer in getting in a tree and 25' up for better success. Whitetaildeer are just too aware of their environment to just willingly accept a freshly brushed in ground blind with a same day setup consistantly. The blinds are too expensive to leave out even though we hunt private ground; there is no way I am going to leave a $400 blind out all night. I am hoping that next year she will be able to hang her own Lone Wolf sticks and stand. She has only been hunting for a year and heights get to her. She likes my 15' ladder stands, but they are heavy, hard to carry, and difficult to move quietly.

Hey HCH Scent-Lok is looking for some sponsors[8D]

You're just not pretty enough for Hoyt, come shoot a ROSS!!

RE: How come?

LMFAO Germ!!! I would never sell out or use something I don't believe in. Ross's are a hell of a bow though. The only reason I stick with Hoyt or Bowtech is that 1. They shoot great. 2. I can be in the middle of nowhere and if I have an issue with the bow, there is a nearby Hoyt or Bowtech dealer. TeeJay and I were both talking about that recently. We both know there are other great bows out there besides Hoyt, Bowtech, and Mathews; but these are available worldwide and there is always a nearby proshop that could fix one in a pinch.
