Lets see - be safe or worry that someone may think it looks stupid?

Guess which is the real stupid choice?

i agree, all it can do is help, those broken up branches make it look just like normal camo to deer, since they see that orange color as greenish camo any way. Im definitley using that bow hunting from now on.

I have heard that they can't distinguish orange. It appears as some weird blob to them which doesn't cause any alarm. Also, from what I have read, the color deer CAN see is the color blue. Example: wear a pair of blue jeans and a blue sweatshirt and take a walk in the woods. You will clear an entire forest of deer... [&:]

As others have stated, the deer cannot see the color orange as shown in your pic but be sure to check your local laws. In Missouri, we cannot wear the camo/break-up orange. Although I think I may get some to use during bow season next year when I am able to hunt larger areas and more of a chance of run-in's with other hunters. Does anyone know the law about this in Kansas? I am planning to move back up there in February.

To heck with whether or not deer can see orange, As a color blind person the orange camo blends in real well with everything else out there. But solid orange I can usually pick out something ain't right and stop to see what is going on. So far, I have been able to make out the outline of a hunter after noticing something is wrong. That is why I am pretty much limited to hunting private land with no one else around. When I hunted in parties in the past, I always had to keep some normal sighted person within eyeshot at all times to make sure I didn't pop a shot when I shouldn't. Really stressed me out!

I've been dressed in solid orange and one time had a deer walk up to within 5 yards trying to figure out what I was. I didn't have a doe permit that time, I didn't move and she ended up calmly walking away.

I'll bet that was cool but what a bummer!
