can deer see your breath?

This question come to me this morning while hunting. I had some deer under me and I could see their breath, and mine, but just wondering if they can see it as well, what can you do to eliminate this. I thought I would get some kind of face mask but I wear glasses and they fog up.

Thanks

I'd worry less about them seeing it as I would about them SMELLING it!!....lol

I'v ethought the same thing.....but I think they get used to seeing things vapor all the time when the sun hits it on cool mornings.

I have ZERO scientific evidence to substantiate this....but it's just what comes to mind. If I got busted.....I'd say it WASN'T the sight of my breath.........

deer can see you think
Only when the lightbulb goes on ;)

If I'm about to have an encounter, I'll slow my breathing down and make it come out my nose to reduce the vapor. When it's really cold and there is snow on the ground, I'll put a little snow in my yap and that reduces it as well.

How do you do that. I have tried and found it imposible. When my heartbeat increases by breathing increases and then I breath harder and have a hard time breathing through my nose. I guess i'm a little out of shape, maybe that has something to do with it.

I dont think this is a problem worth worrying about. If you are high enough in the tree i think you will be fine. If your hunting on the ground i guess it might be a problem but not as big of a problem as your scent

I've had them see my breath before. But it didn't spook them.

the buck i shot this year looked at me a few times and i noticed my breath and his so i got worried he could see it but i think theyd have a hard time since they dont see color its not going to contrast as well as it does for us but it might be possible. i usually try to breath out of my nose and keep my face mask up so it is desperesed more and not a stream of white cloud.

You just have to train yourself to not get nervous or even excited until after the shot. You can get somewhat excited, but I've seen guys who breathe like they ran a mile and their chest is moving, their arms shaking, and their eyes roll as they watch the deer run off that just spotted the movement. Basically, calm yourself down and breathe slowly with your mouth almost shut.

I know they can see it. I had a 6 pointer out in front of me. I never moved but he kept looking at me. He didn't know what I was but he saw that breath and wasn't coming any closer.
