The stare down with an 8 point

Well yesterday it happened, for the first time this season I had a deer in shooting range! I was intense. He crossed the creek in right through a huge bush and I stood up while he was crossing so he couldnt see me. I had a decoy setup which I think he was more scared of then anything. The closest he got to the decoy was 25 yards. He looks up at me when I blew a call and stares at me for two minutes, I stood motionless. He wags his tail and starts walking away then he starts running after 20 yards, I hit the rattling bag and he came to an instant stop and turned around and looked, I hit it again and he came running into 30 yards from me from 100 yards away. He looked around and ate grass while he waspointed straight towards me. Im still standing as still as can be and he was straight downwind 30 yards away, licking the air but still wagging his tail, I moved a slight bit and he took off. After he ran away I waited 10 minutes then climbed down. It was a very exciting experience being a first year hunter- If he could have made one step to the left it would have been over for him Damn, Ill get him tonight, expect pictures!:D

Haha that is awesome, and that is what hunting is all about. Those kinds of experiences. Good luck with that 8 point!
