Iowa Antlerless down
I've been passing everything even though I have antlerless tags. Passed a few small 6s, 1 forky & a small 8 & maybe 8 Does total. Saw another 8 right after I took this doe. 25 yard shot-double lung, went less than 30 yards-watched her drop. My girls & wife went with to load in the Jeep.
Does came off my protected list today..
She's pretty good size-will have the locker weigh tomorrow morning.
I wish I had recorded the girls comments helping me load her. What a trip!!!! Just wanted to share my good fortune. This is the 1st Deer of my FIFTIETH year of Bowhunting. I shot my 1st arrow at a Deer in Northern Ill. in Oct. of 1956... Good Luck to all.

Great job, Now thats what I call sticking with it!!! That sure is a nice doe. That ought to put some meat in the freezer. I have been only hunting 6 yrs...Never even picked up a bow before then. Barrowed a buddies to target practice. One thing led to another...bought new bow that same year. My first deer was a big o'le doe!!!
