Ticks are terrible in this part of NY. that deer must have been suffering badly. Thank god they put it out of it's misery

my dog was almost infested that bad this summer with seed ticks. they took over the whole property including the houses. Those things are close to impossible to get rid of. I can feel my skin crawling....

I actually despise ticks more than I do spiders (hard to do)!

That poor deer! I can't even imagine how miserable that had to be for him/her! I am glad it was put out of it's misery, but the worst part is KNOWING he's not the only one out there like that.

I would edit the title of the thread to include "graphic pics" btw... just a common courtesy.

Good grief, just looking at that picture makes my skin crawl.

Everytime I catch a tick on my skin, it drives me crazy for days. I must have some kind of phobia about those filthy saprophytes, because I run the lice comb through my hair about 2-million times, then I'm constantly checking my hair, pawing at my face, imagining that I can feel them crawling up my neck, in my eyebrows, in my clothes. I've even had nightmares where my skin is crawling with them.

For some people it's spiders, bees, worms, bats, rats or mice - for me, it's ticks.
