hottest you've hunted in
i was just reading another post about the coldest you've hunted in, and i was just wondering what the hottest you've hunted and how thehunting was. here in minnesota it doesnt stay hot for too long, just the first couple weeks of bow season, but there have been a couple days of a little over 90. too hot for me, especially since there were NO deer moving that day.

RE: hottest you've hunted in
Early archery season here in VA can be around the high 60's and even 70's. It's comfortable if the bugs leave you alone, but that usually isn't the case.

Here in Michigan we had some high temp last season but this year , we only had a couple of days where it was 69 to 72 degrees.
Needless to say thats too warm for the deer to be moving about but it didn't bother me none. |

Hottest I've been out was last Friday here in Southwestern PA. It was in the high 60's in the afternoon. Made for a really confortable sit in the stand once I quit sweating.

RE: hottest you've hunted in
I early October I went out with temps in the low 90s. Why I went I have no Idea. I have a new rule after that. 85 or higher I stay home. 84 and below and I gotta go.

I live and hunt here in down here in GA, every yr when the season open`s it`s always in upper 90`s and the humidity some where in the mid90`s as well[:'(]

RE: hottest you've hunted in
Upper 80's is my limit. I have an old fridge in my garage thatI took the racks out of. If I get one when its warm, the whole deer goes in it if it fits, it not, we quarter it and put it in the fridge.

RE: hottest you've hunted in
Upper 90's. Deer move in the shade. Esp to water. Not too much fun to be out in. Praise God for the Thermacell!

RE: hottest you've hunted in
I've trudged to my stand when the thermometer read 97 and the humidity wasn't far behind! Of course that was early season.
However, the temps are supposed to be much lower this time of year. We have now set new high temp records here in "03, '05, and '06. It was cooler in '04 . . . and very windy! [:@] |
