How far is your scent trail?
 

I have a question regarding scent trails. I use scent trails often during the hunting season. I was just wondering what kind of things you do that have worked for you? Whenever you are making a scent trail while walking through the woods, how long do you usually drag it for?How far from your stand do you start your scent trail? I usually start mine about 200 yards or so away frommy stand and freshin' it upevery 75 yards.Whenever I make one I go past my stand about twenty yards and freshin' it up and hang iton a branchand then walk back to my stand.I use doe estrous scent with mine, do you use anything else? Thanks

i use scent web, i spray it about 80 yards out of rilfe range to right under my stand, i dont like to go further than 80 yards because a deer may cross my scent and follow it the wrong way.

for bowhunting i use doe in heat and run a drag in a figure 8 about50yrds by 50yards top to bottom i do start the trail about 100yrds from my stand

Around 200 yards I guess but I always start at my stand then loop around upwind and back. I don't trust which way they'll follow the trail.
