Staying Warm On Stand
I'm leaving for Alberta on Sat. and it's going to be FRIGID up there![:@]It will dip to the single digits at night and only get into the 20s during the day. Any hints on staying warm while on stand ALL DAY would be appreciated.
I have: 30 desposible hand warmers 24+hrs insulated camocoat and pants with hood (skyline horizon) Heat Exchanger face mask hand muff and warm gloves Northern Outfitters expeditionboots -20 deg turtle necks-2 Polar Tech insulated tops and bottoms Polypropiline(sp) sox and insulated sox Can you guys think of anything else I should have? And again, any hints would be great. |

20's????? Hell thats nice!!!! Last Thanksgiving in central wi I was sitting along the river along our property, north wind about 25 mph, the temp was only 15 or something without the wind, so imagine a 25mph wind comming off a river when its 15. Your lookin at well below 0 temps. But i did manage to take out 2 bucks and a doe.

wool clothing is always a good bet to keep you warm.

Tape the hand warmers to your back... right by your kidneys.Or shoot a monster that'll warm you up.

taping the handwarmers to the back is an awesome idea that i've done as well with good results. Also, tape one of the big handwarmers on your neck, it will make all the difference.
