Mature Bucks?

I have a dilemma, i hunt a very good piece of property (160 acres). It has good water, cover and food. I shot I 125" 2 1/2 yr old buck last year. I see young deer all the time. There is also a ton of does. Doesn't there have to be some mature bucks on this property? And how many bucks can have the same home range?

Are there mature deer? Obviously.

Hey there. I think it might surprise to know how many mature deer can occupy the same area. Truth is, I don't know damn thing about that though. But I will say that certain areas with high numbers of hunters and hunting pressure, i.e. deer harvests, don't exactly help out the "mature" deer populations.Remember, if given the opportunity, even a spike buck canbreed a doe.Maybe your herd is just younger altogether. But there's gotta be a couple big boys in there.
