30yds max for me with the compound, and 20yds max for my recurve

Yes we did, but that's okay, I'll see if I can get flamed again for my selection of 50-55.

Rack size should have nothing to do with your shot selection at all. That would show a lack of respect. I killed a doe at that distance 2 years ago but it was the IDEAL situation. She was not moving, unaware, perfectly broadside and I had been shooting my BH's out to 60yards daily for the previous 4 months. Tomorrow in the woods, I wouldn't shoot past 45 yards just because I've not been putting as much time in shooting the compound, but the recurve.

I think this is the third time at least that I have seen this since I found this place in September.

I voted 25-30, because I do not like my groups at 40 yards. I just got my switchback xt in September an practiced with it almost everyday, until the time change. Now it is dark when I get home, so I don't get to practice as much. Maybe I will extend my range next year, after more practice. Maybe not.
