im beginning to see the light. ill admit that if i was in my stand and shot a deer and was waiting him out, a yote walked by my stand, i would kill that sob before he did that to my deer lol. i actually havnt shot my first deer yet, but thats gonna change next year when i move to indiana

I would do the same thing i would shoot that sucker if he came by me. I havent seen one yet, however i did shoot one last year. We also have an open season on those SOBS. We also have a huge wolf problem, however we cant shoot those SOBS. I would agree totally!!!!

if we had yotes in my area id shoot them. only animal other than deer i shot was a very strange raccoon that acted like he had rabies. i couldnt be sure about it...but he was very strange when he came thru so i took the shot just to be sure. if he wasnt rabid then im sorry i killed him for no reason, but his mannerisms made me leary.

also i hate to say this because its illegal and possibly unethical, but if i shot a deer and left it over night because i couldnt find it...then came back the next day to a stripped carcass with no good meat...the only way he is getting a tag is if its a head worth mounting. a baldy would be left for the animals to finish off....but im not dragging out a torn to shreds carcass in hopes of getting a few pounds of meat. if they got just a small part of it then yes i would do my duty to bring him out and butcher it.

flame me if you like, but its not worth 3 hours of work to drag, butcher, and dispose of a carcass that only yields a few pounds of meat that has had dirty coyote mouths all over it

I agree 100% with getblown5.9!

I dont understand? ... If i shot a Doe, came back the next morning and found carcass, i am supposed to tag it? Then by the time i am done dragging the exposed meat out, its all but ruined! So i used a tag, dragged out a carcass only to throw it out when i get home? Dont get me wrong, I am all about ethics, but i didnt do anything wrong? I took an ethical shot, tracked ethically (by waiting) and I lost! I would be upset about it, but using a tag in this situation is silly.
