not trying to be a Dic
Looks like your doing a pretty good job of it there. As far as the rest of your post directed at me:
If you only knew, but then you must know cause you said so, see?

you are from Delaware, so you will never see a 180
Unravel your panties and have a good day

i sure would of tried to crash a muzzy through the point of the shoulder.
That would have been a foolhardy shot too.Should you hit a shoulder blade on a big buck dead on..........its almost like hitting a brick wall. I do hope he finds the buck. Let us know.

No one should ever attempt a quartering to shot on a deer. Wait for the correct angle and accept the fact that you don't have a clear shot yet. I've passed on a couple true trophies in the past few years - one at 17 yards and the other at 20 yards - because they were quartering towards me. A hit on a deer at this angle usually results in an unrecovered deer and is a wasteful and irresponsible shot for a bowhunter.

I guess next time someone posts a question they should just leave out the details because someone is going to bash them. No hunting situations are perfect. The point is that the buck has been hit and needs to be found. It is a wise choice to wait till morning. I would recommend buying one of those blood tracking flashlights for around $40 to help if the sign is hard to find. I had almost the same situation happen a couple of weeks ago here in Kansas and I actually helped someone track a deer that was shot on another property and ended up on mine. I made him back out after bumping him and came back in the morning. We found the buck within 30 minutes. It scored around 175".
