KodiakArcher, Yes I was on Adak for two weeks. How did you know? It is an interesting place. Could you tell because of no trees or what? I am just curious. Let me know. I need to make it your way some day, and hunt some of those monster Brownies.

I knew from 12 yrs. at sea working as a fisheries biologist in the Bering Sea and Aleutians. No place else that I know of has both caribou and coastline that look like that. Extra kudos on a fine bull and pulling off the logistics on that hunt, I know it was a tough one! Your friend's brother isn't Tim Booch is he?

His name is Jeff Matney, he works for the outfitter Mark Wagner, both from Washington. How has your season been? As a non resident, do you have to have a guided hunt inorder to hunt bown/griz? If so what is an average cost? Well let me know.
