Does anyone have that hunting partner that no matter where he hunts... good luck follows him? My buddy killed a massive 10 pntr first week of bowseason (he just happened to walk up on it at 25 yards). Then he kills anice 8 this mornin. Then, this afternoon I was hunting for this massive piebald that we have been seeing. My buddywas just sittin in a lawn chair on the edge of a field and wouldnt you know it... he sees the piebald... 20 feet away. He didnt shoot it, but of course... he would see the deer im hunting for when im only 200 yards away. I couldnt believe it... had to share. If I shoot it, without a doubt I will have to share it with you guys. Wish me luck!

I'm the lucky SOB in my hunting group. My buddies say I have a golden horseshoe stuck up my keister. Of course, I don't consider it luck, I think it is strictly ability and instincts.

Your time will come. I cant explain it, but it just happens that way. Last year my hunting buddy had a rought start and i was the one on fire. This year its the exact opposite. He has 2 nice bucks and i have none even though we are hunting the same stands and property, but i saw a monster this morning, so my turn is coming. Put the time in and stay positive and it will happen. Remember, hunting isnt a competition, its about having a good time in the wilderness with good friends and family. Sure we all want to kill the biggest buck, but just as long as everyone is safe and we are having a good time, life is good.

Maybe you need to just start being your buddy's shadow for awhile.
Or you could rub his head for luck. Of course that might get your tail kicked.

Yep its my dad. He's the guy that sits in his stand smoking a cigarette and not worrying about his smell at all. Has deer walk down wind all the time and don't spook. Has monsters in close all the time and tells me about the 130 and 140 class deer he passes because he's waiting for a 150 and I sit the same area and get winded using scentlock and scent sprays the whole nine yards and I can't even get those 130s within range which I would shot in a second. The worst part is he knows he's got the luck, and tells me all about it, its followed him since he started with his first deer a 140 class eight with double 8 in drop tines to make him a ten, which he got lucky on walking into the stand.I could go on and on.
