not getting pass through shots

I have shot four deer this year with my bow and not one of them has been a pass through, all four have died but none had the arrow go clean through, stick out the other side but not clean through...
Now I'm not complaining cuz my deer are going down and dying within the hour.. On my sig. you can see what I'm shooting and my speed is somewhere around 240fps and I'm shooting the G5 Strikers.. Very sharp blades but seem a little week for busting bones as I have to replace the blades after each shot. It's not always a bad thing not to pass through as it keeps them bleeding but my question is has anyone else had this issue with these heads... I like them and will finish the season with them but just curious if you guys think the head is even the issue.. Or could it be speed, arrow weight, shooting from really high stands and steep angles, or just dumb luck on hitting ribs every shot..

Not an issue really, just more curious...

It could also be a case of your bow being out of tune. I'm not saying it is......but it could be. If you're shooting 240fps and your arrow's flying straight....that's one thing. BUT....imagine the KE lost if your arrow is tailing to one side (or up or down).

Just something to think about.

I spent some good time at the range this year and did my best to tune it. Seems to let arrows fly good with just about any broadhead and it paper tuned great. Bullet hole with three fletching marks.. But yeah, I know what your saying.. Something to check and double check, as soon as I find time to pull my happy butt out of the woods.

Probably the mathews you shoot is too blame. Shoot a hoyt and you won't have that problem. LOL. Just kidding if you are getting clean kills and recoveries I wouldn't worry to much about it. I wouldn't imagine 240 fps would be your problem. I used to shoot an old martin at a blazing 192 fps and get pass throughs. Maybe you are catching some shoulder on you shots. Not sure.

I only shoot 210fps and blow right through with 3 blade Muzzys.

I'll bet you're losing a fair amount of your energy to arrow oscilations (out of tune). Paper cannot tell you what you need to know. Use bareshaft and Broadhead tuning at a distance of 30 yards or so.

If the arrow shaft is oriented any way but straight behind the broadhead when it hits the deer, you sacrifice pentration because so much energy is lost.
