New stand up

OK I finally got to put up the ladder stand my fiance got me. I put it up about 5:00pm this evening. Do you all think it is safe to use it in the morning or should I let it set for a few days? I put it up just along a tree line. The area is surrounded by woods with a clearing about the size of a football field and a half. The open area was just cleared and leveled the last few days by a dozer. I was up there early in the week and jumped 4 does when I got off the skid loader and walked about 10 yards in the woods to pick up some trash and the guy running the dozer said there was a nice 8 point buck digging in the dirt at the same time he was running the dozer. This buck couldn't have been more than 100 yds from the running machinery. I got the stand set up about 15 yards from where he has been making some scrapes. Hopefully I can get him. But, back to the point, am I safe going out tomorrow morning or should I let it sit a few days? Thanks.
Brandon

RE: New stand up

It should be fine to hunt it Brandon..... So get out there in the a.m. and take your camera. I want to see him....:D In fact, sometimes a new stand, placed then immediately hunted, is best. Seriously.... The deer have not had a chance to get spooked by it yet. Not much human scent on or around it. So go for it , buddy.

Good luck to you.

God Bless

Yeah, go for it. I've hunted stands the morning after hanging them and seen deer! I'm not saying that it's the best situation, but I also don't see a major problem either. Get a deer!
