will a 3d deer target that is shot up work as a decoy?

I have a 3D deer target in my yard thatis all shot up and deer check it out all the time. I move the target from time to time, just to keep them curious. I don't even bother spraying scent eliminater on it, although these deer are a little more used to human scent. I have used an older target last season with some luck and was sure to spray it down once placed.

I used mine two years ago...I was hunting a fencerow off a country road, maybe 300-350 yards off the road. Didn't see any deer, but had a truck stop on the road and look at it for a few seconds.....I was waiting for the rifle shot lol.
