Son scores first buck!!
I just got my son into bow hunting this year and he scored last night on a nice button head!! He's literally been on 6 or 8 hunts with me and he takes his first deer. We are both so excited for him that we had to share a picture with all of you.
Shot was about 15 yards broadside as it passed his stand. He's using a Bear Element bow, 100 gr. Tri-Loc broadheads, Trophy Ridge sight and fall away rest, and Wal-Mart camo. LOL He hit him a ways back as you can see, but luckily sliced the femoral artery and it only went about 45 yards before expiring. Nice blood trail led right to the little fellow! Needless to say though that we will be hitting the target a lot more in the days to come...he said the deer began to walk again just as he began to release?!?
