Best Bowhunting magazine

I'd like to subscribe to a good magazine, but realize there are alot to choose from. I'm particularly interested in whitetail bowhunting in the midwest. Are there any that stand out above the rest? I just bought a copy of Bowhunter and wasn't all that impressed. Certainly there are better mags out there.

Even if your not into traditional bowhunting, Traditional Bowhunter is a great read. I highly reccomend it.

Go with Petersen's Bowhunting. It's easily the best magazine I've ever read.

In my opinion they all cover the same material, so it really doesn't matter. I got my first bow last December and I promply subscribed to all of the major magazines that deal with bowhunting. Let me think, Petersens Bowhunting, Bowhunting World, and Bowhunter. From what I read they all cover the same stuff for the most part. There are some differences but not much. It seems that most all magazines these days are into the latest and most expensive product reviews and promotions. I can get just as much information if not more on this forum than I can in any of those magazines and it doesn't cost me anything except my time.

How do you create one of those polling type threads? I'd love to list a half dozen bowhunting mags and have folks vote for their favorite.

Petersen's Bowhunting is best for awesome pictures and getting you pumped in general to go hunting, while Deer and Deer Hunting is the best for educational purposes (same for the D&DH tv show on channel 606.)

Peterson's Bowhunting is the best, I really like Bowhunting World too. Most of the bow hunting mags are good. Some keep it more simple and less technical than others.

I get Bowhunter, Petersons Bowhunting and BowhuntingWorld. I have been getting these 3 for years. I need to start getting Deer and Deer Hunting again.
Deer and Deer Hunting is a great magazine to learn about the world of the whitetail and some great hunting info. It is very informative and you will learn alot about deer. It is not geared towards only the bowhunter.
The other magazines I mentioned are dedicated to bowhunting only. As stated, they are alot alike and do cover alot of the same topics, but there are differences in them also. Bowhunter has alot of great hunting stories in it. They are first hand accounts of some really cool and exciting hunts written by the hunters. There are also some great tips, and some technical infor also. They also have a great section dedicated to traditional hunting. I love the magazine and always have.
Petersons Bowhunting and Bowhunting World are alot alike. Both of them have alot of technical info, bow reports, new gear reports, stories about archery manufactures ( how they started and the story of their success, Ireally enjoy these)and stuff in that category. They also both have alot of articles on hunting tips and techniques and so called expert advice. Of the two, I also think that Petersons is the better one.
I read all 3 of them cover to cover. I have subscriptions on all of them for the next 5 or 6 years. I buy all my renewals for them on e-bay. You talk about saving money!!!! I will get 2 and 3 year renewals for the price that the publisher charges for one year. That is no exxageration either. Back in March I only had a few months issues left on Bowhunter and Petersons. I bought 6 years renewal subscriptions( 2 auctions for 3 years each) to Petersons for $26.00. I didn't think that $2.33 a year was a bad deal!!
All 3 mags are good to me. I would really miss them if I didn't get them anymore.

Petersen's is awesome, they also have a heck of a website with bowhunting radio, which I enjoy.
