Hey Germ,

Since you started this thread, I'll ask you ....

Where do you think the % will end up ? And do you consider the roughly 10% to be low or pretty much in line with annuel success rates or higher than the national average ?

Are the guys and gals here at HNI the cream of the crop, beating the average ? It is interesting, at least to me, if the hunters at in a national hunting forum can beat the average. It will be fun to watch the numbers as the season continues to unfold.

That is exactly what I am intersted in. I am sure a pile of these guys have a doe. I am keeping tract and let eveyone know. The national average is right around 30% for harvesting a deer. After the contest is over we will take a look. For tagging a buck I do not know, but will do some research.

I am really egar to see how many bucks go down it the next two weeks!!

I consider 10%(for a buck) to be pretty right on. I am going to say we will end up around 30-35% which is way above the average for tagging a buck I would think.

1 Doe for me so far.

Although I say it like I expect to get another deer. 2 in one year is my best yet and that I've only done once!

1 doe so far...I had a fair 8 point, but I passed in hopes for a bigger one. I'm waiting of the rut to get into full swing.

Regards,

Bowhunting success in MA is much lower. As of a few years ago at an NBEF course, they said it was between 10 and 15%, bucks and/or does.

That was a few years ago though.
