Here is where i am thinking of hunting... what do you think?
Fellas,
I am taking off the 9th of Nov to hunt the tail end of Bow season. Below is a topo of the area i am hunting. The green box is where i plan on going. The red is private prop and the toyota symbol is where i park. This location is truely "Big Woods Hunting".
Fellas... take this image an put a dot where you think i might get the most for my money! This is public land but most people go down the mountian to hunt... i plan on goinghigh to the huge saddle boxed in green. I am thinking that "Brutis" (Figured thatis a good name for a Bad Ass Buck)isup thereand i am planning a visit. I have not been able to scout this year cause of work.Help me out fellas...what do you think? It looks like deer could come from all directions up there? Also.. that area produces a lot of bear each year!

I would take a peek just to the right of where you are setting up. Looks like an awesome natural funnel. Brook running up a steep ravine between two knobs, with a crowfoot just above it...may be a bit more of walk, but it would pay off I'm thinking. That's where this mountain hunter would be going.

ahhhhh...
I moved the box and checked the weather for the 9th.... winds WSW... so i was thinkinkg about sitting on the WSW side of the funnel (Red dot)? Wind in my face and anticapating the deer coming up the funnel?

If I knew what to look for in a topo graph I would give you my two cents but I have no clue! haha I know what the isobars meaning their spacing but what do you want to look for?

type in your zip code then click 10 day forecast... it will give you sunrise/set high/low temp and wind direction.I do not swear by any weather "prediction" but i do use it as a guide... my mountian wind often swirls... just something to go by.
For those who dont know what to look for on a topo here is a great link to get you started... something i found while googling...
