Well, this has happened to me just this year.

Two weeks ago I was in my stand and had to go, so I went over the edge. About 20min later I heard footsteps behind me and it was a doe with two fawns trailing. The momma came right up to the tree I was in and stopped to smell the spot as did both of her fawns. About 10min later a small 8point came in from the same direction as the does, no doubt trailing them. He however did not stop to smell but walked slowly past andabout ten yards away only stopping a few times but never by my tree whereI went.

I found it strange that all the does stopped but the buck could care less.

P.S. The buck offered up two good shots but I decided to pass....it's still early.

I've read the article from bowhunting mag about this subject ,i never gave it much thought ,maybe your on to something .If it doesn't bother the deer ,then why buy those bladder bottle's ? Sound's like they may be a waste of money .

I've been trying it this year without much luck so far. However, Greg, I'll keep you in mind and I might place an order for next year.

I've experienced the same thing. I used a spot next to a tree, came back the next day and it had been worked over. Now, I don't worry about going in the area I hunt. Opening day I had a doe and yearling come in. My hunting buddy freaked out that I went so close to our set up. So, when I'm with him I don't do it. I talked with him about it, but he's a firm believer in NOT doing it.
