OK...Who is using Rocky Mountain Snypers??
 

I expected alot more people would be using this broadhead this year, but the poll doesn't seem to indicate that is true, or that those using it have not been very successful??

I had a great experience with my first deer taken with these broadheads, has anyone else had good.....or Bad...expereinces with them?? Just looking for a little feild results.

I had one in my quiver. I'll admit , after reading about some questionable field results , I was a bit leary. Maybe I'll try them on a doe during the late archery season.

I've taken 3 deer with them, 2 does and 1 buck. I hit the first doe high but she still went down within 10 seconds. I took out 1 lung and the heart on the 2nd, and she also went down very quickly. I hit the buck in the spine and he dropped but had to put another one behind his shoulder to finish him. I also shot a rabbit with one. I am impressed because they have all opened when it hit the target, including the rabbit <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle> There wasn't much blood when I shot the 1st doe and the buck, but I believe it was because I hit high. There was a lot of blood where I shot the other doe but then it stopped, but she didn't go far and started bleeding again after a little distance. Just depends on the deer and the shot. I have had good luck with these broadheads and will continue to shoot them. Good luck

im using them. i have only been out 3 times this year, no shot yet

Shot my best buck ever last year with one. went to 125 grn heads this year, so haven't been able to use one. They are a very good mechanical, and work well. Somtimes the tip will bend on a hard impact, but it doesn't seem to effect The preformance on game.

I used nothing but mechanicals up until this year. But I found that I simply cannot pull the poundage required to achieve the proper kinetic energy (55 pounds of KE was all I could handle...old shoulder injury).

I switched to Muzzy's this year and my groups only opened up slightly.

I was not impressed with the penetration of the mechanicals, although, as I said, my KE was on the bottom end of the recommended spectrum.

I killed 6 deer with the Muzzy's this year. All but one was a complete pass-through. The other was low and forward a bit, and completely blasted a hole through the upper leg bone, and then into the lower lungs and heart area (shooter error)...the deer still died within minutes after going about 80 yards.

I love the penetration of the Muzzys but I also love the tighter groups of the mechanical stuff.

I have shot two does this year with the same Snyper.It bent on the first one and I straightened it and replaced the blade then shot another the other day,it also bent.I just got done making it straight and will put new blades on it and it will be ready to go again.Great broadhead.

I tried mechanicals for the first time this year and Snypers were my choice. The fly like field points and the hit on the deer was just short of incredible. Biggest entry wound I've had. Deer ran 50 yards and the blood trail what a bowhunter hopes for. I will definitely use them again.

I have 6 of them, They shoot great, sharp and I like the design. I havn't used them on deer as the rocket wolverine really has impressed me.

JPS, re-bending those heads can really weaken them. They or any other head are not designed to be re-bent. New blades yes, but only if the ferrul is undamaged. Just throw it away and grab a new one - they are cheap enough. IMO the head is one area there is no reason to cut corners.

My testimony is similiar to others. I used them for the first time last year when I shot my best buck to date. Pass thru with huge entrance wound and typical exit wound.

This year I shot my first coyote with a Snyper, again performed flawlessly, huge entrance wound, pass thru and quick death.
