Got a question
Tonight I went out to a riverbottom spot that I haven't hunted in a few weeks, and saw five deer. I couldn't get a shot, but I noticed what trails they followed, and they seemed to have heavy traffic. My question is, I really won't have a chance to hunt this spot again until the first week of December. Should I still expect to see deer there? I'm probably going to move my stand near the trail the next chance I get. I scouted the area last year in December, and found trails in the same approximate locations. What you all of you guys think?

RE: Got a question
There are alot of variables.
Is it close to a food source (biggest variable)? Is it close to a bedding area? Have you had your gun season yet? Gun season will change deer patterns for awhile. They usually resort back to old patterns after things settle down (alot quicker when theres a prime food source involved). If the area meets the above ctriteria , I would think your chances of seeing deer would be pretty darn good. ![]() <---Doug---<<< |
