I started at age 30 (three years ago). Before that I would gun hunt with my grand father as a kid but as an adult... it was too tough to find the time when I was stationed on a ship. So once I got out and got a real job (with real pay - the military does not pay E-5's very well) then I got into it.

Well, technically, I started hunting at either 14 or 15. I'm too lazy at the moment to figure it out. However, I used to go with my dad all the time ever since I was like 5 or so, taking my little 15lb bow along actually thinking I was gonna be able to kill something.

Well i started shooting a bow well plastic onse around the age of 3 or 4 then up graded to a light compound around 5 then to a light wight hoyt at the age of 6 and started hunting deer with my bow at the age of 13. Im 16 now so this is my 3rd season and finally shot some this year with the bow.
But i had been shooting rabbits and squrriels and stuff in the back yard since i was well 4 never got any for a few years but i sure did shoot at them. Most times missing by a mile, But i was having fun. lol

I acually started twice. The first time I was 17, we just started seeing deer around my parents house so I bought me a PSE something or other. I tried for 2 years but never connected. Then you know how otherthings become more important at that age. So I left the ranks until we moved into this houseinAugust of 1992. The great flood of 1993 pushed soooooo many deer up away from the Missouri River(I live about a mile from it) that it was dangerous to drive around here. In the fall I got permission to hunt a few properties for damage control. So I started again at age 34 and now at 47I am hooked for life.

I didn't even kill a deer til I was 22. Back when I first started hunting you would be lucky to see a buck once in a season. I bought some land in 1999 for hunting and then got started in bowhunting. I bought my first bow in 1999 at age 44. Am now 51 and just recently tagged my 23rd deer with a bow.
