That was a great post. Glad you made all the right moves for the recovery and found her. Good read, good pictures. Thanks for sharing them. That area you described sounds like the perfect stand location.

Some recovery jobs are tuff. It is a very satisfying feeling to recocer a deer, even though the shot was less than perfect.

Finding her so quick was a complete surprise to me. I fully expected a long, painstaking grid search taking up most of the following day. I got lucky though. She never even bedded down...I don't know how long it took her to make it the 120 yds...but she died in mid stride and fell over. I was pleased to say the least.

On a side note...my arrow and broadhead are perfectly fine...they did their job well!
