after shooting a nice 7 ptr opening afternoon,this buck is now coming to the same scrape.its 30 yds away from my stand.now i just need to be there when he comes through during the day.thats the reason we love to hunt.gotta love those big boys

Hope you get him. I've been hunting scrapes the last few weeks and have now figured out the only time they are ever visited is at night, even with a scent dripper.

I am hunting on a scrape line too, and on Thursday evening, I had a huge bucck come by checking each scrape. ( He had at least 12 points and some trash, I am guessing 130- 140 inch buck) Anyways, he never even touched the scrapes, he sniffed them a little, and then played witth the licking branch for a while, and then moved on to the next one. Tonight I was back in that stand, and I had a messed up little 4 pointer come by checking the same scrapes. Boy he really thought he was tough. He ripped up the dirt at each scrape, and then trashed the licking branch above each scrape. I just thought it was funny how tough he thought he was.:DAnd before anyone asks, no, Neither one of them are dead yet. I took a shot at the bigger one, and my arrow went about an inch over his back, and I let the little guy walk.
