Weather for NY this weekend...No good
#1
Well...
Apparently that major storm that hit Colorado up with all that snow and Kansas with those tornadosis moving towards New York, and should be here late this afternoon.
Starting this afternoon, they are calling for heavy rain for the remainder of the weekend, with winds anywhere from 6-40 mph. Doesnt exactly sound like good weather to be sitting in a treestand or a blind.
Anyway, I think I am going to take the weekend to catch up with grading my papers and getting some interior work done in the cabin. I so wish I could be out there right now, I bet the deer are moving all over the place.
Maybe, if I get a chance, I will get my stalk on. Been a long time since I tried some stalking, and the weather looks to be quality for it.

Out this am 0700 to 1030, in western NY saw nada. Saw one chasing a doe last evening. Thought It would be super this AM ......never saw a deer. Going out about 1230 again.
Have not had a deer near my stand in the last 15 hours of time in. Should have something happen soon!

It is like a monsoon here in Bearsville NY (ulster county).I can't imagine being in a tree this morning.I have hunted in rain this hard,I hunted once in rain so hard that the water running down my neck created a stream under my male parts. If my wife had any doubts about my sanity that confirmed what she already knew!
