Do you hunt throughout rifle season?
 

I was wondering if you guys still hunted during rifle season? I don't, because even with blaze orange on, I still don't feel safe with some of the stupid people out there. It might be different if I owned my own land, but since I hunt on public land, I shy away from it. I do start up again once the season's over though.

Oh yeah! I hunt it all the way through. Whether I use my bow or gun just depends on my mood. I normally use the bow, but sometimes I want that extra range.

well see, i hunt private land during bow season but when rifle comes around i switch to rifle because i hunt public for rifle and its more challenging than bowhunting on private in my opinion

I can relate to that delemma. Down here in South Arkansas it is not as bad, because there is a lot of woods available to hunt in, but there are a whole lot of leases too. When I lost my lease about 6 years ago, I did not hunt for a few years , just because of the safety factor. But I found another lease 3 years ago and I hunt there now. But close to my lease last year a man was shot, WHILE HE WAS SITTING IN A TOWER STAND, by another hunter on a ridge above his stand. The hunter saw a deer and shot, but never saw the man in the tower.... GO FIGURE. So I guess nothing is 100 % SAFE. THERE WILL ALWAYS BE A FEW IDIOTS OUT THERE.

100% Bow Only when hunting game. I leave the gun hunting to the less skilled folk.:D

No choice here, we have very few bow only seasons and most of those are after the regular "rifle" season.

Yes. I have until January 7th when gun season closes. I may use one of my muzzleloaders once in a while but the bow is the way I enjoy the most.

Illinois you cant bow hunt during the two shotgun seasons.
