Rage Broadhead kills?
Anybody had any success using these new Rage 3 or 2 blade broadheads yet? What's you take on them if you did shoot one of these at a deer this fall?

RE: Rage Broadhead kills?
I have shot them twice, and both times they put a BIG hurt on the deer. I used the 3-blade version. First shot was a spine shot, huge entry hole, severed the spine completely, which shocked me. 2nd shot left 2 big holes in the deer. I LOVE the damage they do. The only gripe I have with them is they tend to want to open up while in the quiver. I have to watch and make sure they are closed after I nock an arrow. Maybe I'm not getting them closed properly, but I don't think thats it. They are MUCH better than the Tekkan II heads that I tried out this weekend. They left a small entry and exit hole...not much blood. I felt lucky the deer dropped in site of me.

Huge holes........if you search you will see another thread I posted that has a pic of a deer that I shot and nearly cut the heart in half. They fly like darts as well but you do have to be careful that the blade isn't open when you pull it out of the quiver. I wish we could get rage cutting diameter with snyper blade retention.......that would be fantastic.

RE: Rage Broadhead kills?
my favorite new broadhead. My buddy killed a piebald with it, and I could almost fit my hand through the entry hole (it was shot at a slight quarting away angle) Exit was huge too. Deer only went about oh.....60 yards before it piled up. Impressive heads.

RE: Rage Broadhead kills?
Those are some great successes with them but I never considered what the quiver would do to them. That's even better information to consider and how to remedy it before I use my three blade style Rage. A cat quiver would probably solve this because you're not shoving the blades intot he soft foam of an attachable type.
