I just got 10 new acres of MECCA land.....
 

I just gained access to 10 new wooded acres. This may not seem like much to many......but just like with real estate.....location, location, location!!! I now have access to BOTH SIDES of their bedding sanctuary!

I hunt land that backs up to 200 acres of parks land that hunting is NOT ALLOWED on. I have access to 24 acres on one side......and now this 10.....and the sign on this side is AMAZING. This is.....oh yeah.....3/4 mi. from my house (I walk to the other land I hunt......and could walk to this spot.....but I think I'll go in there MORE undetected if I'm NOT on foot).

I now need NO MORE PLACES to hunt. The day I saw the 30.......they were coming from the bedding area. Anything not coming out on that side.....will come out on this side (Where I just gained access).

I also am the ONLY one with access to these areas!!

LIFE IS GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Shame on you for going after land I love to hunt. Next time you need to pay big bucks for a little corner of an over hunted lease.

FM.....I'm just REALLY pumped, right now. I KNOW these woods haven't been hunted in many years.....and I know the deer think it's part of their sanctuary. My only issue, tight now is......how do I get in there at THE BEST TIME? I don't want to get too much scent in this area.....because I KNOW I'm gonna have several encounters in there.

I need to pick THE right time.............

MECCA is in Saudi Arabia, don't think you are gonna be too welcome there, the camel hunting isn't bad, but the deer hunting sucks!!

All you need to do is be very selective. Our rule is don't shoot anything your not going to mount even if it's a pretty rack. I screwed up a few years back when a 10 point was below me for about 10 mins. I went back and forth saying man he has a pretty rack. Not wall hanger size just below. To keep this short, I wasted all my energy on him and blew it when a huge 8 came by 20 mins later.

You'll do fine with those rules. If you do want to shoot smaller deer wait until after the rut.

I think this will be an AWESOME place to take my son DURING the rut.

I'll make him be "CLEAN" if I have to scrub the little *&%$&%, myself!!

No clean.....No can go into new honey hole!

That last post was the funny. Congrats on the new place to hunt. Just watch those deer will know what side you are on and go to the other side everytime[8D] J/K Hope I didn't jinx ya.

What'll REALLY be cool is to go on BOTH sides (son on 1.....me on another) and wait for 'em to come home in the mornings!
