Update on an old thread. What a ride. just ordered a new recurve Made by Wes Wallace here in Oregon. When I wrote this long ago I never thought it would change me so dramatically Anyone else take up the traditional bow?

Sure. I went "trad-only" in 2008 and 2009. I started a company last fall, and I didn't have a lot of time to shoot my Silvertip. But, I shot it some today.

I took both my bucks this fall with the compound. I plan to hunt some of the remainder of the season with the recurve.

Great hunting memories.....and this thread has a couple post from me before I ever took it up.

Good luck!

i started shooting traditional this summer after taking a couple bucks with my compound. I had a bear kodiak. I agree the amount of satisfaction from getting good groups with a trad vs. a compound is amazing. I would shoot it over my compound so much this summer until one day i was stringing it up and the limb snapped. i'm looking to replace it soon :)
